"Nice sophisticated ryokan. Attention to detail. My first dinner and breakfast were wonderful , second Wasn’t as good. The a/c was right over my bed so the air blows at the bed, not too comfortable. The bed sinks in the middle. We took a taxi from Kumamoto, it took 2 hours. The private baths were great. There are no snacks in the rooms and nothing to order, bring some ! Only 8 rooms so lots of privacy. "

"My only complaint is the road to get to the container villa is so obviously made for a one way but the kurokawa onsen village decided that traffic can struggle to figure out who has the right of way and reverse in the middle of the road… very dangerous but any who.. The actual container villa was such a vibe from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. So convenient that they had signs pointing to where I needed to go to check in and instructions in both the email and the tablet used to check...
