Explore the Capital City of Budapest

Budapest is the most popular destination for travelers from around the world. The city started out as a Roman settlement more than 2,000 years ago, and in the interim, was ruled by the Ottomans, Christian Crusaders, and Mongols. All of these influences have led to the city's incredible culture. Some of the special landmarks include the breathtaking 14th-century Royal Palace, the Hunyadi Garden, St. Stephen's Basilica, and the Parliament Building. Of course, a city with a rich history is bound to have several exciting museums, and the most popular are the Jewish Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Liszt Museum. Travelers looking for Hungary hotels will definitely appreciate the Hungary hotel packages in Budapest, many of which can be combined with flights arriving at the Budapest Franz Liszt International Airport.

Soak up the Culture in Kecskemét

Kecskemét is the second-largest city in Hungary, and it is one of the best places to find cultural attractions in the country. The architecture is stunning, and visitors will be able to see medieval structures as well as contemporary skyscrapers. The sheer number of museums in Kecskemét is amazing, and the admission rates are less than you might expect. Some of the top museums include the Leskowsky Musical Instrument Collection, the Museum of Hungarian Naive Artists, and the Hungarian Photography Museum. Accommodations are even more affordable here than in Budapest, and making reservations can result in discount rooms at some of the most inviting hotels in Hungary.

Outside of the major cities like Budapest and Kecskemét, travelers will have lots of opportunities to learn more about daily life in Hungary. Hungarian cuisine is known as Magyar konyha, and some of the specialties include dishes like goulash stew, roasted leg of goose, and kolbász sausage. Thanks to Hungary hotel packages, visitors are often able to scoop up a cheap Hungary hotel deal that lets them see the best of this beautiful country in on fabulous trip.

Its restaurants and bars are there for you, each having a different atmosphere and lovely food. Attentive staff, you always get an excellent welcome and extra help. The bedroom is vast and very well equipped and comfortable. Spa with incredible pool and splendid treatments. One feel to stay there all day long !

"Great hotel positioned ideally for tourists"
We enjoyed 3 nights at the Kempinski. Located at the hub of all 3 main metro lines and adjacent to both the Jewish district and the river, it was the ideal place from which to explore. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and the room was clean and comfortable. The nightly turn down service is a nice touch also.

    Mercure Budapest City Center Hotel

    "Nice hotel, great location"
The Mercure City Centre is in the perfect location (don't confuse with the Mercure Korona nearby) right on Vaci utica (walking street) in downtown Budapest. It's not a luxury hotel, but if you want to pay a more reasonable price, it is very good. The lobby and bar look very new and sleek. There are computer terminals you can use and you can print out boarding passes (or other things) at the bar. My room was also very nice. The carpet in the room looked new and it was clean and had a nice bathroom. There is a safe and a mini bar in the room (and a nice looking TV which I never used). The walls were a little banged up, so I think perhaps they hadn't got to that point in the updating yet. The carpet in the hallway on my floor was old and stained, however, that's likely the least important thing to update. The staff were all very helpful and gave accurate information, such as how to get to the airport and the approximate costs of various methods. When I decided to take a taxi, they arranged for a legitimate one with a meter (I lived in Hungary in the past and taxis were notoriously dishonest then. Not sure if it's improved overall, but the one the hotel arranged to take me to the airport was great and even cost slightly less than the hotel estimated.) The only complaint I have is the free wifi was not very strong in my room and during certain times of day, I had to go down to the lobby/bar to use my devices.
