"We were a little apprehensive about booking our bucket list Ha Long Bay cruise with Scarlet Pearl after reading mixed reviews in various platforms but we went ahead with it and went with no expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised. The pick from our hotel in Hanoi was on time and in a luxury van which was very comfortable. We did stop at a pearl store on the way but there was zero pressure to buy anything. Check in was smooth and so was the transportation to the boat itself. Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome. The boat looked very classy and the staff very friendly. We were celebrating our wedding announcement and they went out of the way to make us feel special. Wendy is an excellent cruise manager. Her entire crew is super friendly and helpful. Very attentive to the passengers’ needs at all times. Food on the cruise is excellent and so are the drinks. They are very reasonably priced considering this is a cruise ship. Excursions are all well planned and excellent. Chris, the assistant manager is very knowledgeable and is very involved. We also took a private sunset cruise with another couple and that is just fantastic. Tony accompanied us on this cruise and showed off his smart phone camera skills by taking amazing photos. I can go on and on but this should give you an idea. I don’t understand the negative reviews. There is nothing negative about this cruise. All positive. Special shout out to Wendy, Chris, Jessica, James and Tony. Amazing people."

"This is an amazing property!! Top notch service, hospitality. The grounds are beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was and room service food was excellent. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!"

"Fabulous staff, wonderful trip. Tat was a great host, very sweet. Our butler Annie was lovely. The room was tired and really need updating however the private balcony was great! The most disappointing thing was the spa. It wasn’t accessible via the top deck bar area and you can’t see anything when sitting in the spa. Also on day 2 it was green!! Awful, we didn’t go in on day 2. Good on the buffet each meal was really good. The day trip to the village was great! "

"From the bellboy to the reception staff to all of the staff in the restaurant staff and the room this is a beautiful hotel. The staff treat you like luxury and are always so helpful. Food was great. "Friendly at first at the desk after that no good mornings or even a hello and the rooms are clean but leaking water from the shower door wouldn’t close to the jacuzzi leaking water all over the floor plus it didn’t work and the refrigerator didn’t work and we had our clothes washed and had a very friendly person help us with questions on our clothes getting washed and got them done in a timely manner I appreciated her very much but I would say fix your things in the rooms before giving them to customers "
