"Staying in an actual castle was a dream come true for this soon to be 50 year old! The room was amazing and staff were phenomenal. The food was terrific - both the basement restaurant and the breakfast room. We only stayed one night due to our busy schedule but would've loved to stay and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Price was similar to a night in a 2-3 star hotel in London, which was shocking - would've much rather stayed here!!! This was a bucket list check off for me for sure!"

"This is a lovely, old barony house. It is not a pristine chain hotel. Give yourself plenty of time to roam the house and grounds. This place is breathtaking! Staff was mostly helpful, though we requested a whisky tasting, were told they'd inquire and let us know, but never did (we assumed that meant no). Dinner service was very slow the evening we were there, with very few other people. Bar drinks had to be requested more than once before they arrived. Wait staff was not very attentive. Food and drink for dinner and the included breakfast were delicious. The sea bass was out of this world and the sticky toffee pudding was perfection! This was a luxury stay with a lovely, comfortable bed and nicely appointed, basic room. A lovely last night in Scotland before we had to return home."

"A really lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location. The spa is just what's needed, reception staff very helpful, room very comfortable. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a little bit chaotic, perhaps due to lack of staff, but the staff were still very polite and helpful. A very relaxing stay"
