"Quite rustic but comfortable and roomy for two. A little chilly until we got comfortable with the wood burning stove. Would have been great if the shower head worked."

"Great spot. Host was responsive and helpful. Just heads up- the entrance in back (with same door code) has the parking spot- to avoid the flights of stairs in front . Also, heat is a split in the living room- worked for my Fall stay."

"I liked the fact that you had a full service breakfast. The quality of the food in the mornings was very good. Having a tea and coffee station was very convenient as I had several work meetings in the lobby. The weather had turned cold and the lobby was draughty. I asked if we could light the fireplace and was told the hotel didnt have any firewood- which was surprising. Keeping a fire lit would make the hotel more welcoming and comfortable. The pool and hot tube area were very appreciated and I used them daily for 4 days. I also appreciated the water bottle filling station that the hotel offers. One criticism - I dined in the onsite restaurant in the evening and chose the beef and mushroom risotto. This was very oversalted - it seems the mushrooms had been dredged in salt. I later woke in the night - completely parched due to the high salt content and was very uncomfortable. I mentioned this the following day to one of the wait staff and she said she had heard that feedback before. Hopefully my review will prompt a change .........."

"Great house and location! The host was really nice, communicative and even let us check in early. They gave us rocks which we loved and made a cute memory with. The grill outside did not work but it wasn’t a big deal because it was too cold out there anyways. It was very useful they had a lot of spices. Caution driving on the driveway because it’s so steep it scratched our crv. I would recc just parking on the street. The mattresses were pretty hard but I expect that everywhere I go now."

"This location was great, especially for our pups with an enclosed backyard. This feature made for a very relaxing time sitting on the deck in the morning, listening to the birds, and late night, watching the stars, and sitting in the hot tub…The down comforter was GREAT… I’m a couch sleeper… my husband said the bed was good..The yummy teas were a nice touch, too….Oh, and Mt. Shasta was worth the drive, the botanicals gardens, Castle Crags, and so much more… Thanks, for the consistent communication, too. We will be returning!"
