“Location was excellent and parking was good The apartment was clean but it didn’t smell very nice. I think it was the shower drain. Although an apartment for 4 people it only had 3 mugs and one of those was badly chipped and shouldn’t be used. There were only 2 small water glasses .Each bed only had one bedside lamp. Overall it was not comfortable and I expected better”

“The communication was prompt. Our biggest issue was finding the property late in the night as Google Maps takes you to the opposite house! You definitely need to add a note to the property listing. The house is as shown in photos, newly refurbished, clean and nice. The kitchen and bathroom at the back of the office needs to be brought up to the standard of the rest of the house. These rooms lack both furnishings and facilities and feel like a different house altogether! We didn't cook so can't……

“Amazing place to stay, flat very well appointed for a the maximum of 4. Views are great, especially fun when golfers are playing! Ideal location for Beamish and Newcastle attractions. Flat is very clean and well kept and the Hosts are very helpful and attentive. This is our second stay at The Fairways, and we will be back again! Many thanks to Ingrid”

The location was convenient to the shops and places of interest (the cathedral) and the view from the terrace across the river simply wonderful. “The cleanliness of this apartment was substandard, dirty bedlinen which was stained and had other people’s hair on it. Very smelly unclean drains in the bathroom which kept us awake at night it was so bad. We had to clean the plug in the bathroom sink as it was full of black mould which washed into sink every time you put plug in. The carpets and sofa were dirty with stains, presumably from other peoples dogs? We couldn’t use the sofa it was so bad, no throw to cover it. Spider webs covered the……
