"I was looking for seclusion and relaxation. If that is your vibe, I would say this is a great place to go. It is very cozy, clean and tucked away. It also has a small golf course if you want to do that. It is very close to the beach, you can walk or drive."
Oceanfront Showplace - Island Manor

"This is our second visit to Island Manor, they have made some great changes since our first time 3 years ago. Dean & Beth are available to their renters for any questions or concerns. Definitely want to come back again!! Just a little warning, the king bedroom on the main floor is awesome, bed very comfy but my sister and I are on the older and shorter side and had many giggles trying to get into bed, finally got a small step stool at ace hardware, worked perfectly "
Private 4 bedroom home near beach and on golf course

"The location of the property was the best feature of this house. There were hundreds of egrets that would roost overnight in the trees behind the property. An alligator, eight turtles and countless fish inhabited the pond in the backyard. The inside of the property was cleaned but needed som attention. We had to service the vacuum cleaner in order to use it due to so much hair wrapped around the brush roll that it wouldn't turn. The intake for the air conditioner also needed attention.The beach chairs in the screened in lower patio were not in any condition to be useful. They need replaced. We were told there was a golf cart for use and upon reading the property rules and instructions, we found that there was another charge for the use of it.Over all, we really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed our walks among the oaks and pines that lined the golf course and the deer that bedded down just ouside the property's entrance. The last time my wife and I were in Edisto was 12 years ago when we first met. It was great to see that it hasn't lost it's beauty and charm!Every day we spent hours on the beaches with our Siberian Husky. This was the only beach we've been to where he would run into the calm waters from the shore without being lead into the water."

"The host was incredibly responsive to communication and this was a great stay. You don’t even need to pack shampoo, conditioner or body wash because they have it there. They also have a full kitchen, which is great."

"It's definitely an older, lived in, & well loved property. We were lucky to find it for the price. Had no issues with the check in or stay. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the beach. The host provides all sorts of beach gear. It's wonderful if you have children."

"The views live up to the hype. I was a wedding guest and stayed with some family here and didn’t want to leave the peaceful porch. Can’t wait to be back and bring a paddleboard to play on the water."
