“No frills, clean hotel. First time staying at a Ho-Jo and was not disappointed. My desk/office chair in the room was scuffed up and had duct tape on the armrests but otherwise everything was clean and good. Definitely got bang for your buck. Would highly recommend to a budget minded traveler.”

“The only issues were the AC’s smell like it may need a new filter and the tv was hard to figure out and ultimately I couldn’t watch tv. Other than that I really liked the hotel and will definitely stay there again.”

“This hotel, originally named the Stonewall Jackson, is over 100 years old, but has aged reasonably well. The rooms are small by modern standards (at least those with ony 1 bed), but adequate. The updated bath in our room was very nice, with a better-than-average shower. A nice breakfast buffet is available for purchase, currently at a price of $15 per person, and restaurants for lunch and dinner are within easy walking distance, The hotel is attached to a municipal parking garage with a……

“Room was nice ! Bathroom nice with an extra big shower . I like that they had the old school bottles of shampoo & Con. As well as bar soap. I don't like those dispensers! Plenty of towels & a blow dryer . Hard bed but fine . Soft sheets and ok pillows . There was no iron or board; no fridge . I was surprised with that as those seem pretty basic nowadays . Staff was very nice ;) check in was easy. Parking in back of hotel . Location was everything !!! Safe and walkable to all of downtown .……

“It was exactly what we were hoping for. Next to the Parkway, a good center point from which to do our hiking activities. Clean, quiet, well appointed. Water was steaming hot in the kitchen sink and shower. WiFi was a blessing we weren't really counting on and the streaming TV allowed us to unwind each night with and old movie. Highly recommend this place and would come back.”
