Over the past 5 years we have had occasion to stay at The Lodge many times and it never disappoints. In a word, the Lodge is comfortable. Everything is easy from the parking to the check in to the nice breakfast. The rooms allow for storing food you might have brought with you in a nice size fridge with a decent freezer area. This hotel is amazing!!! My husband and I decided to do an impromptu anniversary getaway and were so lucky to find this hotel. It reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy. Had an amazing time at Asheville River Cabins. They literally thought of everything, from fresh ground coffee, extra towels fro the hot tub and even grilling utensils and extra wood for the fire pit. My only recommendation would be to have the cabin numbers more visible. We arrived late at night and was difficult to find our way. Once we found the cabin, we thoroughly enjoyed that all of the lights to our cabin were on inside, it felt very welcoming.
