“Decent space , unique checkin process, overall ok place”

“Oyo is a good place to stay in the heart of Times Square if you don’t want to spend a fortune. It’s especially good for a single traveler just coming for Broadway shows. The rooms are very tiny (but good for one). The only complaint is the mattress-it feels like a sleeper sofa (a hideaway bed that is thin and noisy.) Otherwise it’s fine if all you need is a place to sleep and shower. I would stay here again.”

“We were a family of five so there was lots of space for us. It was nice to stay up a bit later and have kids go to sleep in the bedroom. Host’s communication was excellent. Check in was fairly easy. The entry to the building and stairwell were very underwhelming and you have to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. The unit was as it is described and is older. Some of the trim needs to be painted or replaced. Mixed area nearby with a rec centre and lots of coffee shops and delis.”

After multiple attempts to reach someone, I had to contact customer support just to confirm the change had been made. I specifically raised concerns about the lack of communication and was assured we would have a designated manager available 24/7 after check-in. That was not our experience. “The unit itself is great and very clean. My main complaint was with the check in process. We didn’t have our check in information until an hour before our check in time. This is a major issue especially with a long day of travel. Once we got the information everything went smoothly but it was very stressful leading up to that time.”
