The hotel staff was brand new and struggling to get their system to connect with third party reservations (Expedia, etc.). The manager was called. He arrived and proceeded to sit behind the desk, holding a phone to his ear for over an hour, without speaking to anyone on the phone or in person, or offering any suggestions to solve the issues. At one point there were 15 people in the lobby who had been there for hours. They should have gotten all of us into our rooms and then spent the night figuring out the hotel’s system issues. This was their problem, not ours. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.
After finally getting into our room, 2 hours later, we didn’t have towels, soap or a battery in the smoke alarm (which was beeping). We went back to the front desk and were given a battery. We found a cleaning person in the hall who gave us towels. Never got the soap.
Will NEVER stay at a Baymont by Wyndham again.
