I’m not sure how this hotel has such a high rating. The pull out sofa was one of the worst beds I have ever seen after the guy at the desk assured us that the pullouts were very comfortable. We originally booked two queens but they did not have it when we arrived. The floor was not clean-incredibly sticky. Would never recommend this hotel.

Great little hotel! The price seems to vary considerably depending on what is going on at UF but it’s pretty comparable to a holiday inn express. The breakfast is solid, rooms are clean, staff is friendly. For a lower to middle tier price it’s a very solid option.

Nice staff but it was noisy. Late night someone was knocking at a door and talking loud but nobody told them anything. The bathroom had only one small soap and no shelf to put anything. We only stayed for some hours but we could notice that the room needs to be fixed such as grout on the bathroom tiles, walls need to be cleaned from dirt and markers. Breakfast was very good though

You can smell that the hotel was exposed to water from the ceilings and walls, which made it smell Moldy. The rooms were not clean the sheets were filthy and never changed. There was body fluid, hair and trash in the bed. We stayed there with another group of people who all experienced the exact things. NEVER staying there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. Plenty of choices for dining. Parking was easy and the area was safe (at night). You can tell that it is an older hotel that has been remodeled. The lobby and hallways were stuffy and they did not have a “snack area” like you would see in other chain hotels. The Barr is not open anymore since they were loosing money. For the price you get what you pay for. The room was comfortable.

I have stayed here many times. Overall, it is a good property. I will share one issue....the bathroom in 133. Looks like they have renovated the shower with new tile. It looks good, however, there is no where to put shampoo/soap. You can put it on the floor of the shower or on the commode. Not ideal. Also, the bathroom floor gets flooded because the shower curtain is too short.
