“Lovely guesthouse, lots of period features, bathroom looked newly refurbished, comfortable bed, parking on the street outside. The owner welcomed us, showed us the room and explained the easiest route for the short walk into town. Left us a bag of breakfast items in the fridge. ”

“Our room was lovely and the air-conditioning and heating system worked well. We very much enjoyed the spa. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We did not really care for the dinner menu so didn’t eat there.”

“Obviously the location sells this hotel. Very dated decor and bedroom was very cramped. Car parking is not on site. Food and drink is very expensive”

“Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.”

“Easy check in. Polite and friendly reception staff (both day and night shift). Good room. Serviced all my requirements. Hotel has a central Oban location. Breakfast perfectly adequate.”

“The property advertises that there is breakfast but perhaps because it’s October??? There was no breakfast facility available of any kind. And that was made worse by the fact that there were stickers and labels all over the property warning people not to bring any outside food and drink into the hotel! It seems ridiculous for not allowing bringing in an apple, an orange, a bit of instant porridge to save some money while travelling and use some boiling water? That doesn’t feel very welcoming or……
