“As a solo female traveler, this was one of the most frightening hotel experiences I have ever had.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., I was awakened by a stranger attempting to enter my room. The only reason they did not gain full access was because the security bar was engaged. Had that bar not been in place, a complete stranger would have entered my room while I was asleep.
When I reported the incident to the front desk, I was told it was simply an error and that someone had mistakenly been given……

“There was hair in the sink & bath tub. I found a dirt pair of socks in the chair. There was a drop of what looked like blood on the wall & the room had an unpleasant odor. I reserved my room online (non-refundable) & was charged $100 deposit when I arrived. My deposit was not given back.”

“Do not stay here. Check in was easy, room was clean, bed was ok. We traveled with another couple. Our room was located by the lobby. The other couple was at the far end of the hallway. From 9:00 pm - 11:45 pm the were people congregating in the lobby, with several children, the children were running all over the lobby, up and down the hallway, screaming and crying. The adults did nothing to stop the children. As the kids cried and yelled, the adults talked louder and louder to be heard over……

“We had the most amazing and relaxing time on our trip. The cabin is just a few minutes from Beavers Bend State Park. The cabin was perfect for a couples getaway. It was quiet and relaxing. The cabin is well stocked with dishes. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave!”
