"Our original room had a bad odor/smelled like cigarettes. The bathroom didn’t have trash bags. Luckily, the staff was understanding and moved us to a different room with no fee or trouble. They also offered plant based cookies. I was very pleased with the check-in and check out at the location. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of even the second room was poor but the price was extremely fair and the location was only 15 minutes away from Salem. There was always plenty of parking and the hotel felt safe no matter the time."

"Room was clean, staff was nice, pool absolutely disgusting. This hotel is a homeless shelter and should not be on here. The people in there walk around completely soaked in the hallways men sitting with legs open in pool area kids spitting all in the pool. My kids could not swim in that, they were so upset. But this is a yucky yucky homeless shelter I do not recommend. "

"Absolutely beautiful hotel. One of America’s Historial hotels. Room was in the small side but that goes with the history. We had dinner in the restaurant which was gorgeous and very reasonable and the breakfast (not included) was fab."

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was cold, and while we were there a group of about 20 teens came in and took over the place. Very loud and inconsiderate, splashed us as we were leaving. Breakfast was fantastic, as was everything else. I"

"Beautiful layout. It is so well kept and main building still has old world charm. Inside and out seem like they have just been renovated. Very nice. Pool was great! furnishings excellent. Will definitely go back."
