"The Taeikan was in a perfect location for getting to the train station and to visit the shops in the area. The food was exceptional!!!!The ambiance was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the onsen. Our hostess was new to Japan and to Yaeikan, but she surpassed any of our expectations. She was excellent!!! I highly recommend Yaeikan!"

"Lovely hotel although a bit older building. Staff was very helpful and spoke english well so no issues on communication. Baths do not allow tattoos though. "

"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."
