“Great location where you can walk to downtown Houghton and Hancock easily. Multiple bars and restaurants less than a mile away. Clean, comfortable rooms with great beds and great kitchen set up. Great views in the rooms that open to the deck. The available services including laundry, gym and sauna are great. ”

“The host was outstanding! We had a minor issue with getting the WiFi to work, but our host was outstanding communicating with us and even came out to fix it in a timely manner. As far as snowmobiling, it’s 1 block to the trail and 2 gas stations with very easy access. ”

“Comfortable beds, but very loud all night in parking lot with snowmobiles. Breakfast was waffles or microwave sandwiches as warm options. Juice machine broke so only coffee and an empty milk machine as alternative.”

“My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only...

“The facility was clean. The staff was friendly, polite, and genuine. The pool and hot tub well maintained. It was in a perfect location to view the ski hills, Quincy Mine in the distance, the Portage Lake Bridge, the “Ranger” boat to Isle Royale, and within walking distance from downtown businesses. You can’t do better than that!”
