8.8/10 Excellent! (1,316 reviews)
Stayed here for an Angels game, and honestly, for the price, it did the job. Check-in was smooth, the staff was super friendly, and the place has definitely been updated. You can tell they’ve put money into making it look nicer.
That said, I’m pretty sure they renovated everything except the insulation. You can hear everything. People upstairs walking around sounded like they were rehearsing for Stomp. People in the hallway might as well have been in the room with me. The walls are so thin you start learning way too much about strangers’ sleep schedules.
The pool was decent, and overall the stay was good. But the room had a slight mildewy smell, like the kind that makes you wonder if the air conditioner has seen some things.
And I have to mention this because it caught me off guard: no free coffee after 9 AM. That feels less like hospitality and more like a personal challenge. Nothing says “good morning” like being cut off from caffeine before the day even gets going.
Overall, it was a solid stay for the price, especially if you need a place near Angel Stadium and don’t mind a little unplanned audio entertainment from the rest of the hotel. Friendly staff, fair price, decent pool, updated look. Just bring earplugs, lower your expectations for late morning coffee, and maybe a candle.
