“free parking”

“A group of us stayed at the West& Main property recently and genuinely enjoyed our stay. The hotel is only about 20mins from Center City, Philly. Check in was quick and easy with front desk staff being both welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Upon first entering it also smelled freshly cleaned which we all appreciated. At one point we requested extra towels and the gentleman who brought them (within 10mins of us calling the front desk might I add) was so pleasant and……

“The staff was so completely rude from the moment I walked in. It was extremely uncomfortable and it’s a shame because that particular Marriott has been there since I was a child and it has most certainly gone way downhill. I think if the staff members at that business were replaced with people that were actually friendly and knowledgeable of customer service people wouldn’t complain so much. Other than that, below mediocre at best.”

“I got to check in after leaving a concert and they gave my room away causing me to have no where to stay for the night. The guy at the front desk said that he could book me for the next day instead and asked for my name and that was it. When we asked him if he needed my phone number or email or card number he acted confused and said he didn’t understand. I will never try and stay here again. Very disappointed and it ruined my weekend.”

“Very unpleasant experience staying at this hotel. First, very untransparent fees. While the accommodation fare is only $57.52, taxes amounted to $29.07 and "Additional Fees & Room Fees" were $130. When I asked them what these additional fees entailed, they said the $130 reflected a "cleaning fee + water usage fee + electricity," which, to me, shouldn't normally constitute such a high price tag. Furthermore, I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where additional fees were higher than the……
