"Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"If only the owners would listen to the customer feedback from previous guests! All the same niggling issues stop this from getting g a 5 star rating. Dirty pots and pans, a central heating system that needed to be rebooted constantly, poor level of cleaning generally, all have been commented on by previous guests!"

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"Views of sheep from conservatory in back (where we spent most of our time) and glorious water views from dining table out front which are not shown in listing but should be! Very comfy well equipped older cottage. Keith was great to chat with. The 4 mile one track road in was slow due to the traffic to the Talisker Distillery but that is no fault of the cottage. Just a fact on Skye!"

"The Croft house was an absolute dream. We had everything (and more) that we needed. Catherine is a wonderful host and was available for any questions and made sure we were not lacking for anything. The house is a beautiful setup and the surroundings are magnificent. We enjoyed the highland views, animals rotating on the properties and the beautiful mature garden, all while having comforts like plush towels, a blender, and WiFi (amongst other things). "For the amount of money I think some improvement on the sofa was uncomfortable and rather low. The oven stopped working on Thursday and owner called but wasn’t fixed for us to use for rest of stay a token of thirty pounds was given for a meal. "End House Inverness was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. We forgot it had two bathrooms, so we were so excited to see that it had that. The provisions provided to get us started were very thoughtful and helpful. The house was roomy, clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked. The directions provided for all the amenities were more than sufficient to make correct use of them. We hope to be able to stay here again some day."

"The house is located in a great location, just above the Market Brae steps, making it central to most places in the city center. The house is old, but very well kept. Two of the bedrooms are located on the second floor and a third, with its own bathroom, on the third. Stairs are a bit of a struggle, if you're not used to them, but not a huge issue. One minor negative is that there is a little bit of street noise from pedestrians on their way out of the city center after the bars closing. Usually...

"Eileen Isay was the perfect central location for us to explore Isle of Skye. Dunvegan Castle, Fairy Pools, prehistoric Brochs, hiking in the Cuillins and our favourite hike The Quiraing. Absolutely jaw dropping scenery and magic weather all week. The cottage was ideal for us, cosy, warm, very comfy bed and everything we needed. Every evening we sat by the bay window and watched the amazing sunsets, all of which made our Golden Anniversary a very memorable one. Thankyou Marion!"
