Hoopa Vacations from $455

Very disappointed with our experience overall. The hotel looked super cute and quaint in photos, but in reality was very dated and not as well kept up as it could be. Not much nearby and restaurant menu was limited. I’m sure it is mentioned somewhere, but I was surprised to find when we got to our room there was no AC, only a fan. There was also apparently some trouble with our booking. Even though we had already pre-paid with Expedia the hotel told us they could not access our payment and would have to charge us again. Fortunately Expedia was very helpful and refunded our original payment. In my opinion it should have been the hotel that took on the inconvenience of contacting Expedia and the financial risk rather than double charging a client and leaving them to sort it out.

Challenging without any staff on location during check in, but there’s no denying how beautiful the location was. I can’t wait to return!

This hotel is like a museum- it is so well kept and maintained. We were upgraded to the turret room. My main issue is that it's hard to relax and get a bit messy like you would normally do in a hotel. Beverages and food encouraged downstairs in the kitchen. Don't care for windows that don't open. Would appreciate longer time there 4p-10a was too little. Still, the history was fascinating!

Lovely room, quiet during the night, but construction early in the morning, but otherwise would certainly stay again. The check in clerk wasn’t very helpful, just pointed to an instruction sheet on the window and told me to read it :/
