The Abbey is an older resort but kept up very well. It offers a lot of amenities including a gift shop, coffee shop, spa services, and a full service restaurant. Everything was very nice, but the room was a little bit musty.
The Sunday brunch was overpriced and charged for coffee.
We love the Lake Lawn Resort!! So much to see and do, and a beautiful slice of heaven in southern Wisconsin! Only issue we had was that the mini-golf, shuffle-board, etc wasn't available on Sunday... probably bc it's off season. We were just looking forward to playing. Besides that, everything was ...
Nice, comfortable room. Not a great value. No continental breakfast. Charged a resort fee when no resort features were used and few even available. (The swimming pool was empty). Worse problem? Minimal electric outlets available for recharging your devices. THAT was a heartache.
Nice size suite - furniture & ammenities a little dated
The room was a lot bigger and a lot nicer than expected! The room and public bathrooms were very clean. All the activities - Waterpark, arcade, activity room - were all in the same area, which was convenient with two kids. I was disappointed that the restaurant on-site was closed for our 2 day stay. ...
Great view of the lake. Room was very clean, but tired. I left a tip for the housekeeper and she didn't take it, saying that she wasn't sure it was for her. Very honest.
How peaceful it is. We could not hear anything outside our room, and for me that's a big plus because I'm a light sleeper.
We had a pretty good stay the bed was very unconvertible! but we had fun in the pool and a great breakfast in the morning!
