"It was our 2nd time at the Ocean House. We love the location and view is amazing. We only ate dinner out 3 times in 10 days because we enjoyed cooking and you couldn’t beat our view. All the staff were wonderful. We had an 84th birthday party at Breezes for my father-in-law and they made the night so special from a wonderful dinner, bonfire on the beach and live entertainment. "This property is run down and neglected. The kitchen has mould around the taps, pots and pans and dishes old. No tea towels to do dishes. Very old fixtures. We didn't use the kitchen because of these reasons. The bathroom is a nightmare. Toilet is rusty and disgusting around the base. All drains are extremely slow and the bathroom basin had scunge coming up from the clogged drain. I put my finger in there to see if something was blocking it and I cut my finger on a razor sharp piece of metal. If...

"The unit itself was fine once you were inside, except there was no TV service. However, we were not told that the entire facility was under construction. Apparently a new owner of the facility is stuccoing, painting and renewing the entire place. Our view out our front window was of a man on a scaffold 2 feet away, applying stucco. The pool behind the unit was empty, except for dirt. There was NO place to sit outside, workmen everywhere."

"We stayed 5 nights in a cute single cottage. We’re a couple in our 30s, and most guests were a mix of friendly retirees and families, many of them regulars who come back every year and we understand why! We loved it — the cottage was colorful, comfortable, and had a nice patio. The property itself is beautiful, with plants everywhere, and the complimentary breakfast is just as delicious as other reviews mention. The place is small enough that it never feels crowded, and there are always enough lounge chairs and space for everyone. There’s also a grocery store conveniently located right across the street. We would definitely stay again!"

"The Hotel Riu Negril was an amazing family vacation experience!! The hotel wasn't overcrowded, as some resorts can be. The food was phenomenal!! The pools and beach areas were clean. The entertainment staff worked long hours and earned for me high marks. Overall, I loved staying at the Hotel Riu Negril. I didn't know the distinction at the time until arriving in customs, but I was staying at the Hotel Riu Negril "Club". There is a separate "Palance" resort. However, I liked very much the Club resort, as it was recently renovated. Great experience!"
