We stayed at this hotel last night because we wanted a place close to the Greek Theater for a concert. In that case this place can't be beat. Literally on the same street and a short 15 minute UBER ride to the concert was awesome!
The rooms are small, clean and safe. The check in staff were nice and helpful. The gift shop man is super nice and has everything you want and not too expensive. Parking was cheap for LA, and it's a gated closed lot, so the car was safe from whatever.
So I will stay there again for sure if I have a concert to go to at the Greek.
Now the negative:
Had booked two rooms through Expedia. The other couple came down with Covid two days before, so I called and asked about cancelling one room. Nope. Non-refundable. I was good with that since I didn't buy the insurance, but when I checked in, the place was fully booked. I asked them if they wanted my extra room back, and they said no. If you ask me, that's freakin' lazy and for that I can't recommend them.
And last, do not go down to the "bistro" on the basement level. Wanted two cups of coffee this morning since there was not an option in the room. Two cups, 18 bucks and 20 minutes later, I kinda had my order. I suggest that actually let customers pour their own cream in the cups!
Maybe they will read this and make a couple changes, because this could be a great place for concerts!
