“Nice hotel with friendly staff Busy pub & restaurant- great breakfast included in the cost of the stay Beautiful village with lots of history Lots of dogs staying & visiting with diners No lift (elevator) but they carried my bags up the stairs for me so that wasn't an issue They give you a key to the outer door so if you're out late (like I was for a wedding in a nearby location), you just hold a key fob to the door & you have 24 hour access They kept my bags free of charge so I could stroll……

“The Hotel is a treat for the eyes and a great place to relax in the many rooms. A beautiful bar and a great breakfast kept us satisfied after a day of exploring the area. A super comfortable bed made our stay even better. The golf course looks beautiful and the hiking trails are interesting. Easy to park your car. The staff were helpful and very polite. “Absolute little gem of a place, just off the beaten track. Proper old world pub with the friendliest hosts I’ve ever met. Will definitely be back to try the food as we arrived too late to eat. Please give this little place a try you won’t regret it. ”

“I stayed here one night on my way down to the Lake District. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent as was service. (I particularly appreciated that they had gluten free bread available in the morning.) The room was very clean and charming with french doors opening to a private deck. There was a kettle, but a small fridge would have been nice. There was ample parking close to the door. Hosts were very friendly and easy to chat with. There are some walking trails so I was able to do……
