"This place is actually even better than it looks online! We booked a two-night stay here right in the middle of a very busy vacation, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to completely unwind. The little cabin was immaculate, incredibly comfortable for our family, and fully stocked with every amenity we could have possibly needed. But the absolute highlight was the beach access—it is just a quick walk away. The beach itself is massive, spacious, never felt overcrowded, and the water was surprisingly warm. Our family’s absolute favorite memory was heading down to the shore at night to watch the sunset and just enjoy the calm, peaceful evening. Location-wise, it gives you that perfect, quiet, "off-the-beaten-path" feel while still being incredibly convenient. There are great local restaurants and a grocery store just a 2- to 3-minute drive from the cabin, making it easy to grab whatever you need. The only thing I would change about our trip is the duration—two nights wasn't enough! Next time, we will definitely book a longer stay so we can truly explore more of this beautiful community. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!"

Large, private house with ocean views!

"Despite having seven very large bedrooms, the house still had a large open common area which lead to many enjoyable meals without being crowded at all. We were a group of 12 so no small feat! The grounds were also amazing and had complete privacy. The property included an excellent BBQ which was put to good use. The house also had Bell Fibe, so very fast WIFI! The only minor comment is that the kitchen faucet seems to have a issue with the aerator causing low water flow unless you select the spray which did have decent water flow. So overall this excellent place for a large group and well worth the price in our opinion."

"We enjoyed a comfortable, peaceful stay in this charming house in Port Hood. The views are lovely and the beach is a short walk away. During our two week stay we were able to get to most of Cape Breton including Port Hawkesbury, Chéticamp, St. Ann’s, Mabou, Judique and Inverness. The host and property manager were gracious and accessible. I would stay here again."

"Our Family stayed in this rental for a week. It is on the same road as the town school so we were able to walk to the playground. We were also able to walk to shops and eateries. My husband walked his clubs to the golf course for an early tee time.It was clean and well supplied with linens, and kitchen necessities. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms are all on the second with steep narrow stairs, making night time bathroom trips for younger kids a concern."

"We were first to stay at this property for the season, there were a few kinks but Bill was responsive and fair. Here is what is important. The queen bed and bunk room matresses are really comfortable. Adequate towels and sheets etc. The house was clean.Bring your own stuff, milk, sugar, coffee, salt and pepper. Its bare bones, but the price is good. If you want 5 star go to Cabot. The view and location are amazing. Its an old duplex and you share the patio, but that's OK. Everyone should be friendly, its Cape Breton and the golf is amazing!!"
