"Had a 3 night stay here- great value for money especially if you can get the theme park tickets and breakfast included. Breakfast was busy but as we got there early we never had to wait. Stayed on the first floor in the park wing and it was great being able to walk straight out to the pool. We had dinner one night at Melrose and another at the Lobby Lounge bar- food was great in both places especially the Nutella pizza from Melrose. Would stay again! Just be aware that due to current tram line works- the trip to the airport can take well over an hr."

"For us the best part was the whales. We were able to see them from the comfort of our bed and of course from the balcony. The 3 days we were there, we woke up to the "morning whale show". It was simply beautiful. The place is well located: restaurants, pubs, supermarkets beachfront. Beautiful beach although we went in winter and as Floridians, we avoided the cold waters 😂. The living room is spacious. The kitchen was equipped with all the essentials. Washer and dryer that worked well. "

"The Island exceeded all my expectations. The room was super big, was surprised to see it had a large balcony with chairs to hang out, free water bottles and chips each day. Location was near all the action but about a block away so quieter. And had a nice pool, restaurant, and lounge with billiards. Loved the stay."

"Just having a week away - weather could have been better. Well placed for transport, apart from the 711 not much in the way of food. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was only open at weekends."

"We were worried about the room condition after reading some of the reviews but found it to be perfect. A huge 1 bed apartment with 3 wonderful pools to choose from. Only downside was there was no bar or cafe (apparently someone is considering taking it over soon), but other than that would highly recommend - plenty of options close by."

"Loved our stay. Room service was hit and miss. My fiancé loved his wagyu pappardelle however my chicken was so overcooked it was inedible. The big spa bath was a great feature. Pillows aren’t actually pillows… they’re blankets folded up and put into pillow cases. Wasn’t the best for my neck. Overall though, we loved our stay and will be staying there again! "

"Compared to other apartment based properties, this one was the absolute best in the area by far. We stayed in the one bedroom superior ocean view. The view was amazing and with binoculars you can see whales in the distance. Everything was clean and tidy. Large fridge/freezer and gas cooking stove. Everything was in working order. It came with a bath as well as a shower. The bed was actually a king size, not a queen or two doubles pushed together like other places fool you into using. Xanadu seems to actually care about their clients. I also saw window washers during our stay and the balcony glass was clean as well - most likely these are cleaned more often compared to other places. The couches were comfy, not cheap IKEA products. For example, the 3-seaters being used were most likely in the $4,000-5,000 price range from a commercial furniture company. We will be coming back next year. Keep in mind we went in the winter time after school holidays had ended. So timing may also be a factor."

"A short walk to central Surfers Paradise. Plenty of street parking for our visitors and free parking for guests. Clean, well presented, nice staff, excellent price. Photos represented apartment well. There was a construction site nearby which did not trouble us with noise. The lobby looks like it used yo have a bar and dining but doesnt seem to be operating at the moment. Lifts were all operational and quick. Little balcony was great and could see the ocean. For the price, excellent value. "
