“Good environment and nice room”

“Staff were lovely, very helpful, we were late for breakfast but they didn’t mind. Unfortunately the pool and spa were not open for our stay, however breakfast on the patio was glorious”

“Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships.”

“Very comfortable & clean accommodation. Forgotten something, it's probably available in the room or from Wendy. Highly recommended with eateries available within half a mile and peaceful, considering its proximity to some major roads”

“Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good.”

“Property in general is looking a bit tired and in need of some modernisation and updating, bathroom wasnt the cleanest unfortunately with stains at the bottom of the toilet, shower gel bottles just left randomly in the bathroom and the area around the sink not great either. That being said the sauna, pool area were very nice and clean, view was ok although some dining guests could see into my room which wasnt great but slept well and felt refreshed so as a whole not too bad at all”

“Ideal location for visiting Southampton, there are some nice pubs only a short drive away. The breakfast was good lots to choose from. I stayed in the quadruple room on the top floor. It was big, spacious but a bit hot so we had four fans running. Very good overall”

“Very quaint and clean with a perfect pub attached. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. A bit out of town but still a great location near a park and the river to walk. Train station in Glen Abbey is walkable. It was a bit chilly when we arrived but the room warmed up nicely”

“Don't let the pictures fool you. The swimming pool looks like a big bath tub. The room I had was on the second floor. The carpet in the hallway needs repacling. What really turns me off is the location of the extra toilet rool. It's located at the foot near the toilet bowl. It looks dirty. I have to ask for fresh rolls instead. Anyways, it's not worth the price. But after all, we are in the UK where everything is expensive.”

“Good: The decoration of the room is cozy and in good classic style There is a bar on the ground floor which is good Staff are nice and friendly Bad: Strong smell in the bathroom which is disgusting, we think that comes from the eroding wood The water boiler is not clean and there is even water remain inside Being asked for the room key after check out but believe their staff mixed things up (Wrong number tag on the key)”

“First night ( Saturday night) it was so noisy until midnight:( . Second night is much better. You book 2 nights, they don’t clean your room next day:( Overall it’s good place to stay.”

“Nice and comfortable excellent decor. However toiletries need improvement, body wash and shampoo combined and no body lotion”

“Well located and reasonable price. Bathroom was on the tight side . Tiny tv. Pillows not very comfy. Breakfast was delicious”
