"Everyone had great time, house was very nice and accommodating for the whole family. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend mosquito spray though. Screened porch was a big plus for sitting outside at night. Overall a very peaceful place."

Your Private Slice of the Forgotten Coast—Steps to Sand

Your Private Slice of the Forgotten Coast—Steps to Sand

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay here so much and we were very sad to go! The place was AMAZING! It is family friendly and pet friendly. The beach and ocean are right where you can see them and easy to access. Utilize the outdoor shower to helo with sand tracking in and out. The laundry room is located down stairs next to the outdoor shower. Bring extra big spray!!! The flies bite pretty good right before a rain. We aren't a super wealthy family so our main chunk of money went to the house so we cooked everything at the house. The trash service runs once a week so it was a tight squeeze for 6 people for a whole week but we made it work! There are beautiful views and breathtaking sunrises and you can sit on the deck or in the living room and see it because of the massive windows in the living room! When the tide goes out at night you can go explore and find all kinds of creatures in thw shallows. Wear sunscreen! And we made sure to have hats on and that helped alot! Overall we highly recommend this place and it is private as well. It was well worth the money and it was a wonderful experience!"

"A great old hotel. Very comfortable, spacious room. Quiet, and such a pleasant atmosphere. We stayed two nights and we're sorry to leave. How can you beat staying in a state park lodge? A very good dining room with excellent food and very attentive staff. If you haven't seen or been in the spring, you are really missing something - delightful!"

NEW LISTING!!! Welcome to Ohana Shack! 4BR/4.5BA Private Beachfront Property!

10/10 Excellent
"Ohana shack is a luxury vacation home that you don’t want to miss out on! We have already scheduled a return next year. Our whole family had a wonderful time in the house and at the secluded beach. We may have seen 4 people on the beach the whole week. The guys enjoyed fishing off the beach, and crabbing. We felt very safe in the secluded beach area, that was literally a few steps from the house, for our little 2, almost 3, year old granddaughters splashing in the surf. All of the rooms were well done. The beds were so comfortable. The pictures can’t do any of it justice. The room with the king sized bed and 4 built in bunks were perfect for our son’s family. The girls slept on the bottom bunks. Their brother and cousin on the top bunks. My husband and I had the master bedroom across the hall. Our daughter and her husband and their daughter and best friend had the two suites on the lower floor. The kitchen was well equipped. We even invested in it by adding a waffle iron and a few other things. The appliances were top notch! The living area had very comfortable seating. We even looked up the two chairs to see if we could get some. There is a fridge/freezer in the very lower level to hold extra stuff you may need during your stay, to keep you from having to run into town for supplies. You may as well buy extra ice, because you will need it. There are also beach chairs. We even added a couple more to the collection. The hot tub is enormous. The elevator is awesome!"
