“Check in did not go well. We came in very late from a delayed fight. 2:30 am. They had difficulty finding a room for us. At first they were saying there was no room available, a room I had prepaid for and would not have gotten a refund for if we had not made it in that morning. They finally found a room that was empty but listed on the computer as not available. They sent a worker up to check to make sure it was clean, they said it was and we got a room at 3:00am. During check in we had to pay……

“It was close to the airport. The propane who checked us on was super nice. There were people standing around smoking or hanging around. It seemed not safe and the room was basic. The noise above us was loud talking and chairs moving all night long. We did not sleep well here”

“We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.”

“Easy check in”

“When we arrived to our room all the lights were on, including the bathroom light and so was the TV. Seemed odd. Upon crawling into bed I felt a dampness on my body and upon further dampness I realized the comforter itself was wet and almost sticky which made the bed sheets also damp. Called front desk. Girl was not helpful. She sent manager up who wanted to see what I was talking about then asked if I wanted new bedding or a room change. Both options were inconvenient but we chose room change.……

“It was ok, a place to sleep. No breakfast was a downside. Noisy. Wouldn't stay again.”
