“Front desk is not friendly! Elevator was out of order, and we have two heavy luggage to move upstairs without any help...”

“Overall a great stay. Clean room, friendly staff, and convenient location. I had my small dog with me and the hotel felt pet friendly. Across the street from a nice walking path by the river. A bit disappointed that breakfast didn’t start until 7 as we were in town for a volleyball tournament and had to leave the hotel before then both days. I would stay here again”

“I skipped the breakfast. The room was very clean. Best location in Durango. Next to a bagel shop and train starion, two blocks from great coffee shop. Easy walk to Las Animas river and park. Deer roam the town, so beware if you are driving. Price was very reasonable. Kudos!”

“The property is beautiful and the history of the place is kept and showcased. The rooms are tight but as expected in a property of this age but clean and well looked after and provide everything you need. Location is great and the staff are friendly and helpful ”

“The General Palmer Hotel is a special historic hotel. Beautiful and comfortable in all areas. A few things that would make this hotel excellent would be in-room coffee, complimentary water bottles in room, and more or brighter lighting in the rooms. There was not a smart tv in the room but for us it was a minor issue. Beds were very comfortable and the decor matched the feel of the historic hotel. ”

“When checking in the place smelled of weed and it was the staff who were stoned. Charged for parking even if your a guest. It is not in a location where this should be a requirement. Location is not downtown , it is more like close to downtown. In need of repairs. Ac had very little temperature flexibility as it has to stay in certain presets. Its presenting dont even allow for the fan to run . Very uncomfortable sleep and stay . For the price I would ot recommend.”
