"This was such a great place for us to stay for 2 nights while we were visiting sites at Yosemite Natl Park during the day. It is a bit hidden about 2 miles drive once you are on Opah Drive - but truly a hidden gem! It was very quiet, had walking trails right across the road that we enjoyed both nights, & lots of birds - each morning we watched some quails & lots of acorn woodpeckers from the patio. Our cabin had 2 beds, everything was very new & was very clean, a narrow kitchen that was stocked with everything we needed, AC controls in each room & they had left a hand-written welcome note on the table when we arrived - some very nice touches to this place. If we would have had younger children with us there would have been plenty for them to use - balls, frisbees, bikes to ride, a pool, etc. This is definitely a great find!"

"The Mariposa Lodge is quiet, safe, and has friendly and helpful staff. It is on the edge of a very, very small downtown area. The town population is only about 1500 people as far as I can estimate. So if you are expecting lots of fancy shopping and restaurants, you are not in the right place. But if you want to stay in a quaint, outdoorsy place with about 20 small shops and restaurants on the way to the West gate of Yosemite, then this is the place for you and your family."
