“A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. ”

“The room was clean, Staff excellent, Bar fully stocked, Wifi good. Room was very small 10foot wide 20foot long, bed very soft, no good for people with back problems. Advertised as B&B cleaner had to get manager in to do breakfast which was basically a bacon sandwich. No breakfast the following day even though it was the chef who let us out of building!”

“High Tor comments: I fancy we caught the High Tor at a time when it was going thru a change period. - the grounds outside needed a gardiner - The building needed a good paint job, especially the windows (maybe replacing) - I think we were the only customers that first day, only my car in the car park! - There were staff available but except when we checked in we didn’t see anyone stationed at the reception desk - not even for checkout! - We ordered breakfast for the following morning and we……

“This is a lovely pub and the food was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but basic. The bed had crisp white sheets on and was comfy. I’d use it again for a one night stop over. ”
