“For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We……

“The house was very clean and well kept! Plenty of space and the outside yard was very big! The neighborhood was safe and much to our surprise, a short walk to a beautiful river! It was close in proximity to downtown! Sara & Marvin were easy to get in touch with and were very responsive! The house is well stocked with everything you could need! The banana muffins were a sweet touch! I would recommend this place! ”

“My favorite vacation rental so far and I’ve rented from many sites over the years. The cottage is charming with a lot of folk art touches. There was plenty of space, we were 3 adults and never felt crowded. The grounds were extensive and well kept with lots of different plants, flowers and wild life. We saw rabbits and chipmunks and were able to hear the frogs at night from the screened porch. Also at night you can see so many stars if it is clear. Even more than at the beach! We thoroughly……

“We cannot say enough about this beautiful cottage on the mountain! It was very clean and had everything you could need. The host was very kind and quick in responding. Be sure to get the WIFI and door code because you will not have service. Bring snacks and grocery items needed. The town of Bakersville is about 10 minutes away and there's not much to eat since the storm, but it was so nice to sit on the porch and enjoy the peaceful stream right in the front yard.
