Nice hotel in North Myrtle Beach with a view!

Posted Jan 5, 2016
Pros: The indoor pool/hot tub, the hotel bar/night club and the location and view were outstanding.
Cons: Better quality mattresses, they were not very comfortable in my opinion and the floors under the beds need to be vacuumed.
Location: the beach of course then there is the Tanger Outlets less than a half mile away and the Calabash restaurants for those that want endless crab legs.
We had stayed in South Myrtle Beach for New Years, last year and wanted to change it up this year by searching for a hotel around the north Myrtle Beach area. Due to the winter season the prices for this hotel were extremely reasonable, almost a rip-off with all of the amenities it had to offer. The hotel lobby looked like an expensive hotel but it was a maze to find your way around. When you first walk into the lobby to check in there is a bar/Night Club called Sandals to your left which was convenient since we didn't have to go very far to celebrate New Years. We chose an ocean front view room on the 18th floor and even though the double-full bed room was very small it offered an amazing view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The beds were not very comfortable and unlike the hotels lobby, the rooms reflected the price we paid but again, the view was absolutely amazing and we spent a lot of time sitting on our balcony over looking the ocean. The hotel also offers a lazy river and out door pool as well as an indoor pool with two large hot tubs which is very convenient for the winter months. The Windows Cafe is nestled on the beach side of the hotel and offers an amazing breakfast buffet at an affordable price. There are many things to do and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel... and we are definitely planning on staying here again only we will be upgrading to a much larger room with a king bed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Getaway with just my wife

Always a great stop coming up or going down to Florida from our Maryland office. The hotel location is the best on the beach. The weather happened to be great for November and Ocean Annies on the beach, had entertainment from 2-6 on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Moldy Room

Posted Oct 9, 2015 on Hotels
We were given room 909 which had mold on the walls, the tub was cracked and wouldn't drain, the vents had dust hanging off them, the tile was coming off the walls in the bathroom and both the carpet and drapes were frayed and the rug was filthy. After a week, they finally gave us another room, as my husband has respiratory problems and he was suffering. This room should never have been rented and we found it was up for sale. The gentleman that came to fix the mold, as we were leaving could not believe they gave us that room. I feel we need a refund for one week. I feel both Hotels.com and the Sands are responsible. My husband had 2 cases of pneumonia this year and 2 sinus surgeries and that room made him worse. he is now hacking, coughing and his sinus are really terrible from sleeping and bathing in the mold ridden room.
