For some reason, our bank card was declined at check in when attempting to leave a card on file for the security deposit. We had already paid for our stay in full prior to our arrival. The hostess was ready to turn us away with no room when I asked if we could leave a cash deposit. My wife and I and 6 year old daughter had just driven 16 hours to reach this destination. Seemed strange that our card was declined at the front desk but not at the ATM. I asked to speak to a manager and he stepped away to make a phone call. I was told that a one time exception would be made, however I would have to pay a cash deposit and leave my ID at the front desk. I willingly offered the cash but refused my ID, asking them to please make a copy instead. After another refusal from the hostess, I requested that he speak to his manager again. After a second call to the manager, they agreed to copy our ID and finally gave us a room key. The room is very nice but I will never stay here again!
