“We booked a two day stay at the Hampton Inn in beautiful Kittery, ME. We chose the Hampton Inn because of its name and reputation as a fine chain. We discovered that it was pet- friendly, which is fine, but also discovered that pets are not limited to certain floors ( i.e. ground floor or first floor only) but are allowed throughout the entire facility. To be blunt, our room smelled of wet dog. Not at first, but through the night, our half-carpeted, upholstered furniture room 409 became very……

“The room had an overwhelming mold smell that was covered by bleach. The bathroom door didnt close because the door had swollen from the moisture. Bedding and pillows smelled of mildew. Staff were friendly.”

“Bar staff not the most attentive. Ordered sandwiches after a long ride and 20 minutes later when I went to pick them up, the order was never given to the cook. Bar staff was not going to say anything until I saw her entering in the order and called her out on it”
