Nice close to Hampton Coliseum

Pros: They gave us what was needed Manager Michell Chappell and staff Preston
Cons: N/A
Location: Was near by the Hampton Jazz Festival at the Coliseum
Staff made our stay nice when making the reservation with told him that handcap.was needed didn't get that from them, but when got to hotel ,the staff made it for us

What's that smell??

Pros: The staff was helpful, friendly, and professional
Cons: Find a way to enforce the "non-smoking policy". Perhaps the letter we sign at check in could emphasize a financial penalty if caught smoking.
Let me start by saying the staff at this hotel was friendly, professional, and willing to help. My biggest complaint is that this is supposed to be a "non-smoking hotel" yet daily I could smell cigarettes as I walked down the hallway. Worse was the fact that I could also smell it in my room. My guess is whoever had the room prior to me was the "sinner" because the smell was that strong. Other than that the room was comfortable, although very basic in everything it offered. I also had an issue with the TV in that four of the channels that were labeled as ESPN or other channels had nothing on them except instructions on how to set up my DISH Network or pay my DISH bill, etc. I mentioned this to the front desk and that person came to the room but was not able to figure out how to correct the problem even after a conversation with his supervisor. Maintenance was supposed to come up the next day to fix it but that never happened. The good thing is I was out of the room more than I was in it, so it wasn't a critical issue, just an annoying one.

Super SLLLLOOOOOOWWWW check in, but a big enough room that was clean. Booked a queen and got 2 doubles. They seemed oversold.

Need serious renovations and security onsite

I stayed at this hotel because other hotels in the area was sold out. The receptionist upon checking in was very friendly and the hotel manager the next morning at checkout was nice as well. Safety inside hotel raise a RED FLAG in the middle of the night someone tried to enter my room but thank God I had latch on door and someone else was in room with me. Very terrifying experience for sure.

Nice place close to the Convention Center and Coliseum. It is way better than a two star hotel. Helpful staff and clean rooms.

Don't do it, unless you're desperate!!!

I felt bad for the hotel staff. They were terribly understaffed and unprepared for what was coming. A huge contingent of Pearl Jam fans. I arrived at 8:15pm and my room was still not ready. Asked for a couple more non-feathered pillows which I never received. A couple extra towels that never arrived. The free WiFi resets after 24 hours and after the first night couldn't reconnect because apparently there was a problem with the router. Not what I was expecting. I got a great rate from Hotels.com and that's why I took it. I guess I get what I pay for.
