The only thing I liked was the location, which is close to all of Rockland's downtown and waterfront. Otherwise, the rooms were really basic and really small and the halls were carpeted in worn carpet. But the price was enormous. I guess they were taking advantage of it being LobsterFest to charge over $500. for this really disappointing room. Carol Gerstl

We stayed in the oak cabin, and it was exactly what we wanted with the views and the space was so comfortable and adorable The walk to the beach was picturesque and at the beach we got to see seals playing in the water!!!

While we enjoyed the caretaker the property was not represented upon our booking that it would be in repairs/restoration during our stay. There was garbage and debri from the repairs/renovations all over the backyard which was visible from our room. There was garbage on the front porch and outside our room and an overgrowth of weeds (not native wild, just unattended walkway weeds) which took away from the BnB ambiance. There wasn't a blind in the window in the bathroom just sheer curtains which to me is the most intimate room so we had to use a couple of my dresses for privacy. There was a coffee maker in the room but upon use we realized it only had decaf and when explained to the caretaker she did not resolve the issue by giving us regular coffee her response was just "oh". The bathtub had not been cleaned as we noticed there was hair all over and dirt in it. Very disappointed as we really hoped for a romantic stay :(

The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped off once we called the owner but we didn’t ask for toilet paper and ran out of that as well. It just seemed like the bare minimum was done to make us comfortable. If you stay here just know you need to bring your own supplies unless you want to spend your vacation on the phone with the owners.
