"This hotel was an absolute gem location wise. It’s 5 mins from Grand Central, 7mins from Summit One, 20min straight walk to Times Square or around 10mins to 5th Avenue. There is a Little cafe on site which we were allocated $17.50 per day destination credit which was great to pick up a little snack or coffee before embarking on a day of sightseeing. There is also a restaurant that did breakfast that we didn’t use however whenever we went past it was full. The check in was very smooth. I had called to apply a special request around 5 days before and it was not only acknowledged but they went above and beyond and it really made the holiday. There was hardly any street noise when we were in the room, we didn’t have any issue with the elevators even though we were on a high floor and the general feel of the hotel is very welcoming. We used the luggage storage on the last day as we had an evening flight and this was very useful and easy to do. The beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable and it was one of the best nights sleep I have had in years. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends who visit NY and I would happily return here when visiting again."

"Great location, lovely interiors, but service levels were not as good as they should or could be. My room was missing robes and slippers, and the phone was not working. I was not offered an upgrade as I should have been based on my Expedia booking with VIP access. When I made a complaint I was upgraded at the latter part of my stay which I appreciated. The restaurant and bar upstairs are well appointed and the menus good but service was slow and very laissez faire. I enjoyed my stay, and would stay again but they definitely need to work on more attentive service levels."

"We had a great stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Free bottled water at reception was appreciated. The doorman was great! Very minor stuff: The hotel is old so there are a lot of creaks and noises at night. The a/c makes a terrible sound if we turned it down a degree so we kept the room a bit warmer than we liked but none of that impacted our stay in any meaningful way. Great location! Would stay here again for sure."
