"First time staying in a hotel in KC. It was perfect location wise and in general (clean room, helpful staff, ease of rideshare access, etc.) Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"This property is “pet friendly” which means that there was a dog down the hall that barked all afternoon and into the late evening. Even after repeated calls to the front desk. And there was several sports teams with young players staying at the hotel when we were. They were very loud in the halls late into the evening. The room was comfortable and the room darkening shades were a plus. I can’t say that the bathroom area was super clean though. The woman who checked us in was capable but I wouldn’t say she was friendly. I would give this hotel a 2.5 out of 5 stars for the simple reason that the noise level was ridiculous on our floor."

"I would definitely stay here again. A nice hotel and the staff was excellent. The breakfast was also very enjoyable and had a little bit of variety each day. Here's some feedback for La Quinta… 1. Fix your ice machine machines! 2. Put some towel bars in the bathrooms! A room with two queen beds is clearly meant for multiple people. However, there was a single hook on the wall. No rod to hang multiple bath towels, no place for hand towels. One single hook for everyone to share for every type of towel or wash rag. Seriously? Do you think we're gonna reuse that stuff? It's a nice hotel but somebody really didn't think that through. Standard hotel policy is to wash towels every 2 to 3 days. We're on board with that, however, if I can't hang the towel up to dry I'm not using it again. Not only is drying yourself with a still damp towel unpleasant, it's gross and unsanitary."

"Room was nice even though showing signs of age. First night we stayed there was a smoke smell from the casino throughout the hotel including our room. Second night, which was a Sunday night the smoke was more contained in the casino area, and our room actually had a pleasant odor. "

"The staff is amazing! Everyone from the waitstaff, bartenders and our coffee barista went above and beyond. Food was amazing too! "

"Giant cockroach. At least 3 inches crawling on the wall of a room. Seen it right before going to bed. So that always helps a person sleep. Our sliding glass doors were broken. It rained and our carpet by the doors were soaked. The drawers on the Tv stand were broken and falling out. No way to use, glad we didn’t after the massive cockroach. Doors wouldn’t even stay shut unless you had the door locks up. Which were also broke. For a $400+ room I could have stayed somewhere cheaper and had a lot nicer room. Probably without cockroaches."

"Would not stay again. Walls and ceilings are paper thin. I could hear every word from the person above me’s phone calls at all hours. Also got woken up at 1230am by a small child screaming for ten minutes in the hallway. The bed was very uncomfortable and the towels were thin and tiny. Definitely not worth the money."

"I honestly didn’t feel safe, the non smoking room still smelled like smoke, I found a NEEDLE outside near the door to the entrance. Dirty carpets and chairs, pillows were horrible. When you don’t clean your hotel and you allow smoking everywhere you attract bums. The photos in the Google Photos looked fine but in person it’s horrible. Maybe spend more money and time shaping the hotel up. The staff was very friendly. "
