I’m typically not a review person but wanted to give a fair assessment of the property since Expedia asked. In nutshell, you get what you pay for. It’s an older, tired building that is currently being rehabbed (with all the construction noise & traffic you could expect from it 6 days a week). The view is great and beach is excellent. The cleanliness is not the greatest, if you are a clean freak not the place for you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had to have maintenance up several times to unblock the sink (that has dried paint splattered all over it) replace remote, replace burnt out lightbulbs etc. The free breakfast I thought was good (wife didn’t like). They will give you lots of food “lunch lady” style. The breakfast area is 25’x25’ and was always packed. Easier to bring food back to the room. All food is served in to go containers. The hotel is close to everything. Free parking, no issues with getting a parking space. The pool area was old and tired as well. Hot tub was big and nice and faced the gulf. Pool was dirty. No waterfall (seasonal). Outside bar and events are seasonal so closed when we were there. There were no pirates, mermaid, shows or other entertainment when we were there. Weird that they still charged a $17 per day “resort” fee - there is nothing resort about this place. Since we spent most of our time away doing a plethora of things around PCB, in all, it was tolerable. Next time I would opt to spend a little bit and go elsewhere.
