Just needed a place close to the city with parking. I had room 4 (First Floor) and it was large and comfy. Sparce furnishings but it is a BP after all. amenities where clean and wireles was great to have. Did not use their kitchen or anything else. Arrived around 10pm and left by 7am. Staff was friendly but then I had not much interaction with the staff nor the other back packer.

Never stayed in a shared room before. The staff were very friendly and so were the other travellers. The room was clean but staying in a shared room with strangers could be quiet difficult as people can be easily disturbed.

Check in was a breeze, we were even given a room with a larger bed as I had mistakenly booked a double room rather than a twin. There was a shortage of power points in convenient locations, but at least there were multi-boards.

I stayed at the hotel a couple of times. First time I stayed for 6 nights and then 2 days. Both time I had a great experience.
Hotel staff are very friendly and casual, making you feel at home.
The breakfast cooked every morning was delicious.
The water views I had from my room and from the breakfast room are very beautiful.

Known as Auckland's oldest suburb, Parnell has become the upscale village shopping spot highlighting restaurants, cafés, bars, art galleries, boutiques, and jewelers. Stroll through Dove-Myer Robinson Park's rose garden or pick up produce from one of the multiple farmers markets. History buffs can check out the Auckland War Memorial Museum, New Zealand's first museum.
