"What kept Keswick Country House from one star is the old style charm of the hotel. The experience itself, however, was disappointing. "Booked this lodge last minute as we wanted to catch the heatwave. Absolute perfect location. We have been to the lakes several times but never bassenthwaite. Brought the paddle boards and literally a 30 seconds walk to the water. So quiet, stunning views, just perfect. Short drive into keswick too. ..."
