“Way's Forge is a quirky, convenient accommodation for exploring a wide variety of locations in the area and further afield. . It was a very comfortable stay and we enjoyed it very much. ”
“We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room.... We were also shown the fire escape so.we didn't have to walk out suitcases through the hotel.
The shower was great, the bed comfy... The cafeterias near the coffee machine downstairs were a great idea as the coffee machine wasn't working.
Can recommend and will definitely be booking again if we're in Dorchester”
“We stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night and it was really lovely. The room was big, airy and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was lovely.
We ate dinner in the pub and it was absolutely delicious. I am coeliac and Matt, the owner, was very knowledgeable when helping me to decide what to have. There were several choices for me and I can thoroughly recommend the lamb.

“This is the perfect definition of a small english town stay. I loved the vibe of the rooms and the location. The rooms were clean and they provide complimentary biscuits and tea. The breakfast felt a bit pricy, but there was a cold buffet in addition to any hot item on their menu. Their fresh honey comb was really cool!”
“Stay was good for the night. Only issue we had was the beds were very short. And you could hear other people in there rooms. Don’t know if I would stay here again.”
“Plumber Manor is a perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful retreat in beautiful gardens , a comfortable bed and delicious food. It has a well stocked bar and the wine prices are reasonable. The only negative was the wifi was weak in the courtyard room we stayed in which caused ‘buffering’ when watching a film. We mentioned it to staff and it will be rectified. It is a family owned hotel so the service feels personal. Somewhere we would definitely like to return to. There are many……
“We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for……
