“My favorite place we stayed in 10 nights of Scotland. Great location for St. Andrews. It was 5 minutes by car from the Old Course. There is a bus to town. It was not plush, but very nice, clean and had so much character. The grocery store which serves breakfast and the take-out for dinner were a two-minute walk. The bartender you check in with was incredibly pleasant and helpful. Great stay. Wish we were there longer.”

“The accommodations are incredible. Very short walk to the Old course. We are not serious walkers and made it door to 18th green in 2 mins. Staff were unbelievable and should be able to give 10 stars out of 5 for service! They were amazing. Highly recommend this property for anyone staying in St Andrew’s. Location is absolutely perfect with easy access to all that St Andrews has to offer. Rooms are stunning and some of the best accommodations we had on our Europe trip. Much better than the chain……

“A mixed bag, this property needs deep cleaning - room was fine, but if you look closer a lot to be desired, examples - windows so dirty stopping sunlight, some mould in the bathroom or broken jacuzzi in the pool area, changing rooms falling apart, lockers don't close. When we entered Hotel you could smell damp in the corridors. Refurbishment and better maintenance should be a focus. Facilities are okay but is visible they're not maintained as they should be. “This is a difficult to review. The owners are so kind and friendly, the room was large and opened to the garden which is lovely. However, the room itself was very musty, I instantly filled up, had a sore throat, then got a headache. We stayed two nights, so I purchased my own pillows, opened up the garden door for a couple hours and slept better the second night. My husband was not bothered by the smell. For me, it was awful. Had I seen recent reviews advising of this, I wouldn’t have chosen……
