“This place was absolutely gorgeous. Far exceeded my expectations. Do not hesitate to book this place. You will feel like you are in a movie or something. The place was so clean and cozy. We did not use the kitchen but it there if needed. The host was so friendly and gave us advice on where to go and how to go. Will definitely stay here again.”

“Great property, very comfortable, very clean,,Thoughtfully designed. Cool neighborhood! Wish I got to spend more time here. I was at a conference in downtown Oakland and decided to stay in the sanctuary because hotels were overbooked. Slightly hard/expensive to get an uber in the morning but that’s my fault for not planning ahead. Would recommend!”

“She was super sweet, and accommodating. The flat is lovely with impeccable artistic flair. I slept on the pull out couch and it was cozy. The shower was spacious and fantastic. I would walk 50 feet across the street to get all the basics from the liquor store and that was fun. Downtown restaurants were a few blocks away. Great spot. Great place to stay. Five stars”

“Very clean, the host was very accommodating and kind. Loved our stay and location that was within 15 minutes of everything to see in the area. The garden patio was a treat for mornings and evenings to sit and enjoy the outside.”

“I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so...

“We appreciated having such a charming house for home-base while visiting the area. It had everything we needed. The coyotes in the early morning hours excepted, seeing the deer and wild turkeys was an extra special treat!”

“Peaceful off-the-grid getaway with stunning views. We had a wonderful stay. The views of the wetlands were absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset - truly a peaceful and serene setting. We loved being able to explore the wetlands right on the property. And it was a perfect spot for both our kids and our dog to enjoy nature safely. The host was fantastic- great communication and very easy to work with. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. ”
