This is by far the worst resort I have ever been to! Stay away from it! If you do not wish to ruin your vacations! Book anywhere else and I can promise you, it will be better than this. You can find something better at same or lower price. I booked this hotel for a family trip, 20 people. We were scheduled to stay 4 nights and decided to leave during the 3rd day. Staff is rude and disrespectful; racist and incompetent. Staff will laugh in your face and ask you to report them to management; showing the culture of the resort. In order to go around within the resort you need to be transported by a bus; drivers will frequently not take you and claim is not their route. Staff makes no efforts to accommodate. There is no entertainment. You will be bored. The food is terrible, every day is the same; reheated, no variety and lack of flavor. The AC does not work at the buffet area. You will be sweaty and hungry at the same time. The bedrooms AC do not work. In my room,the bedroom roof had water leaking. Front desk will only tell you they have no more rooms to transfer you; and there’s nothing they could do. They make no efforts to mediate your issues, they do not care about you! We picked this resort because of the water park access for this kids; at least half of the slides were out of service. Not worthy. I travel at least three times a year and stay in a resort each time. This has been the worst experience ever; and the saddest sentiment we have ever experienced

The staff was mostly nice and the restaurants are good, but it is miserably HOT in the rooms. The coolest the room got during our July stay was 75 with the ceiling fan and AC running. One room we rented did not have a functioning ceiling fan and it was 79 in there. We reported it for 4 days and no one ever came to fix it. The buffets were mediocre at best. The swim up bars were great, though and our room was always clean.

Me and my family had a horrible experience with Air Conditioning which resulted in changing our room to another just so that the WiFi did not work and got locked out of the room 2 times in one night. My kids at night love using their iPads and could not use them and the night we got locked out were bitten so many times by mosquitos. The main buffet smelled like sewage and the staff seemed annoyed that we were there. I submitted many of my complaints and gave them to Guest Services. I was hoping to get a call from Management to discuss my frustration throughout my stay but they did not seem to care. I contacted front desk more times than I can count. I will never stay nor recommend this place to anyone.

When we first went, the room was not ready, they said come back after half an hour, half an hour passed went to front desk they said 20 min, again the room was not ready, went back after 20 min, room was not ready, check in time 3:00 pm passed, room was not ready, finally the room was ready around 4:00 pm, the fridge in the room was not working properly, the drink not getting cold in the fridge, poor room services, asked for cold water and beer they said 20 min, one hour passed, got the water and beer which was not cold. Staff does not understand English, property is nice but does not manage properly, so many mosquitoes in the room as well. Very bad experience, buffet was not good either, the flies were sitting on the food as well. Food was not covered properly in the buffet, Nice sitting area around the front desk but no AC or fans placed around sitting area too hot. Lot of mosquitoes in the sitting area as well.

I will start off with BEDBUGS!!! One of our rooms were mosquito and bedbug infested. When staff was notified they took NO accountability for it, they didnt even apologize. My kids were bit. Another issue we had was the attitude of the staff especially in dining areas. Dishes were dirty with streaks, roaches crawling around, flys around the food. Service was horrible. The best part of my trip was off the resort. I will never go back to this place nor recommend anyone to it!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. Here are some things I would have liked to have known. The resort is very large and there is the chance of being very far from the beach. There are mini buses to drive you down to the beach however many times we waited over ten minutes and just gave up and walked it. Little kids got tired and very hot doing the walk though. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was for the water park. It was pretty far from everything else and about 2/3 of it was closed down. The rest will likely be closed down soon as the foundation is crumbling. We enjoyed the pool and the entertainment at pool 4 was great. The bars and shows were great too. We loved the Brazilian restaurant and highly recommend it. We didn’t like the Japanese restaurant. There was a storm and for the next few days there was an extreme amount of seaweed on the beach and water. The resort did not seem prepared to manage it. We’ve been to other places that had dozens of men and multiple trucks out on the beach each morning cleaning up seaweed. It was only a half hour from the airport which we liked. We likely wouldn’t return as we prefer smaller resorts.

Family of 6, 1 yrs, 3 yrs, 5yrs and 12 yrs old. We had a suite with a king bed in the bedroom and a crib for the baby. The living room had a cot and a full size sofa bed. 2 full bathrooms, one in the bedroom and another in the hallway of the living room. We were comfortable in the space. The only problem is the bathroom in the bedroom smelled of sewage. We ended up just closing the door (it was a self contained toilet) and just using the bathroom in the hallway. We didnt call about it, when the door was closed we couldnt smell anything. Other areas of the property snelled like sewage also, the buffet smelled when you first walked in, then it went away when you were seated. The property is currently under renovation (june 28, 2024) so i just attributed it to that. The property is large, the waterpark was great, the shopping was amazing. We stayed at bahia in cancun mexico in october 2022 thats why we chose this property for punta cana Dominican republic. We really appreciate the bahia brandand love that they have a doctor and a pharmacy in site!!! My son caught an ear infection in 2022 and my husband had some eye drainage that we thought may be pink eye. They had medicine for both. We will definitely continue to visit more bahia properties!!!

Unfortunately the staff was not very pleasant to people who didn’t speak Spanish. My nephew slipped on water and hit his head on the ground and all the staff could say was “he should’ve read the yellow caution sign” …my nephew doesn’t know how to read. The people at the check in desk told my parents that the room was ready but when we came back to the desk to get the keys they said “just because check in is at 3 doesn’t mean the room would be ready” 10/10 do not recommend coming to this resort at all.
