AMAZING staff. One of the best hotels in punta Cana. Juan Gomez and Anthony from north bar really went above and beyond for our stay. Will definitely return to this same resort.

Beautiful hotel on an amazing beach

Pros: Everything!!! I couldn't ask for more!
Cons: The only challenge for us was the language, but many of the staff spoke English and even provided translation service for us when we needed it.
Location: We stayed on the resort for the most part but my husband went scuba diving while we were there. More than sufficient activities on site!
The hotel was beautiful! The grounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly and efficient. Event the grounds keepers were amazing. In the morning we would be offered fresh coconuts right from the tree with the top carved off so we could easily drink the coconut water. The restaurants offered a large selection of food and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing!!!! They even offered paddleboarding, diving instruction and volleyball among other activities in the pool. It was so large all these activities could be happening and you could still find a secluded corner to relax in! The beach was beautiful and while the waves were a little much due to high winds when we were there, it was really great to walk or just relax in a chaise lounge. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Everything you could wish for and more were at your finger tips. The staff at the concierge service were very helpful with reservations and requests. They informed us upon arrival not to drink the tap water and provided more than sufficient bottled water during our stay there. I would highly recommend this resort and will return next time we travel to Punta Cana.

Mediocre at best

Pros: The staff at this resort was wonderful. They were always pleasant, helpful and hardworking.
Cons: Fans and better ventilation at bars and Aqua restaurant. Proper repairs to public bathroom stalls so guest do not get locked in.
This is an older resort, but the rooms were clean. Our trip was with a group of people who all booked through different vendors. We were disappointed in several things. Although the resort claims to be All-inclusive, much is not included. We would not have minded so much if we were aware of this before we arrived. Premium liquor is not included and the wine included in the package was the worst. Some travelers received vouchers with their package and when they went to use a $20 voucher for wine, they were told they could only use it on a bottle that cost $100 or more (Cheapest wine for purchase was $28 per bottle). Also, you could not purchase wine by the glass...only the bottle. Cabanas at the pool were an additional charge. Some restaurants were closed and others required an additional fee. There was no air conditioning and many bars and they were exceptionally hot. There are public bathrooms near all of the bars. One female in our party got locked in a stall because the handle was broken and couldn't get out until we went looking for her. The issue was reported to management and 3 days later the door was still broken. Other guests reported the same problem and it was not limited to one public bathroom. The sand fleas at the beach were bad. It would have helped to have been warned about them.

Great hotel and the food

I had a great time at the hotel. Everything was great the only thing i didnt like was.... At the time of check out if you are not ready at 12pm they block your room key. They dont play went it come to check out.

Best All Inclusive I have ever been to

Pros: The ambiance of the buildings, lobby, pools, restaurants along with the friendly staff made each day special
Cons: Better information could be given on things happening on the property.
Location: Bavara Beach was perfect. White sand , Blue Green water Sun and Palm Trees. No reason to leave the property. Nothing outside
If you are a couple I would recommend the Royal Service. It's worth the extra money

Hotel was 'nice'. Not interested on going back

Let me say I am too nice but this experience was not at all what I expected at a highly rated hotel on TA or Expedia. I also am not booking through Expedia or ME is the near future. Room conditions: location in the resort was very nice. Room condition were borderline. Broken perm fixtures, deteroriation of couches /chairs and not hot water temp controls in dual shower were very disappointing. Housekeeping and service staff were wonderful though. Rooms need attention at $310 per night. Bars/Restaurant - very limited selection durin my stay. I booked this hotel with the intention of enjoying premium food and drink. I paid 50% more than a neighboring 4.5 star resort to enjoy higher quality f&d. What I received was constant no for any premium displayed alcohol or an upchrge request. I also was harassed for payment in a restaurant ( much to my surprise ) as well as only able to eat in 1 restaurant offered due to the rest being closed, full, or unreserbable by non-members Membership presentation : So the moment we arrived we were whisked into sales mode. I was aware but not prepared for the constant handoffs to other parties pressuring for timeshare sales. Is this the VIP treatment promised by Expedia? By far the most frustrating experience was after we declined the club membership to escape back into our fully prepaid luxury vacation -we were unsuspectingly manipulated into an impromptu presentation by one of the club drivers when inquiring about comp shopping transport?
