Hotel was 'nice'. Not interested on going back

Let me say I am too nice but this experience was not at all what I expected at a highly rated hotel on TA or Expedia. I also am not booking through Expedia or ME is the near future.
Room conditions: location in the resort was very nice. Room condition were borderline. Broken perm fixtures, deteroriation of couches /chairs and not hot water temp controls in dual shower were very disappointing. Housekeeping and service staff were wonderful though. Rooms need attention at $310 per night.
Bars/Restaurant - very limited selection durin my stay. I booked this hotel with the intention of enjoying premium food and drink. I paid 50% more than a neighboring 4.5 star resort to enjoy higher quality f&d. What I received was constant no for any premium displayed alcohol or an upchrge request. I also was harassed for payment in a restaurant ( much to my surprise ) as well as only able to eat in 1 restaurant offered due to the rest being closed, full, or unreserbable by non-members
Membership presentation : So the moment we arrived we were whisked into sales mode. I was aware but not prepared for the constant handoffs to other parties pressuring for timeshare sales. Is this the VIP treatment promised by Expedia? By far the most frustrating experience was after we declined the club membership to escape back into our fully prepaid luxury vacation -we were unsuspectingly manipulated into an impromptu presentation by one of the club drivers when inquiring about comp shopping transport?
