"We have been to the N Shore of Kauai before so we know that it is high "funky factor". This property is in a good location at the Hanalei Resort and pretty much like we expected but more worn than we expected. The shower was nice and the bathroom and bedroom pretty clean. The room was rather dark and could use more lighting. The floors were wavy and buckled in places from previous flooding and the stand swing on the lanai is falling apart. It would be nice to get rid of it and have two lounge chairs instead. This said, we were comfortable and had a really good time."

"Beautiful home, everything was clean, as pictured, beautiful golf course views and a slim but beautiful peek of the ocean. Bedrooms spacious and kitchen wonderful. AC worked well for the rooms. Walking distance to the 1 Hotel and Hideaways beach. Easy check in, wonderful host. Would definitely stay again."

"This is one of the best units at Hanalei Bay Resort. The host has it beautifully furnished. The kitchen is equipped with the finest appliances, cookware, and dishes. It was perfect for our family visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return."

"The room was cozy and had the most incredible view. The resort was lovely. They had golf carts that would take you around the resort which was very handy in getting to the beach on property. Our biggest downfall was the shower. One of the shower heads was stuck on hot. One of the handles wasn’t screwed in and a bracket on it was missing, and there was a broken plastic part on the rail. One of our beach chairs was broken as well. However, they kindly refunded us some money. Overall, it was a beautiful stay on the North Shore and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Kauai."

"The condo is exactly as pictured and described. The views from the balcony are AMAZING! We enjoyed watching the sunset from it each night. The condo was clean and comfortable. The only downside of the condo was there is no microwave. We assumed this was due to it being a hideaway suite and the main suite had the full kitchen. However there was a mini refrigerator and coffee maker. We appreciated the beach chairs that were with the unit. However we were disappointed with Hanalei Bay Resort itself. It has a case of split personality. Is it a condo complex or resort? When we travel we have different expectations for a condo complex vs a resort. We went into the stay expecting it be a resort but it really had more of a condo complex feel. Some disappointments: no place on property to get a real breakfast or lunch, no food/drink service at the pool area, only 2 coin operated laundry machines, no place to put trash(there was daily pick up in the AM and PM but it was weird to leave a trash bag outside and hope someone picked it up), and no recycling. Also parking is a nightmare. You get a parking pass but you aren’t guaranteed a spot. There are two dinner restaurants on property that create a hectic parking situation in the evenings. A few times we had to park illegally and have the valet/front desk move our car when a spot became available. To be clear all minor things and again those are directed at HBR not this specific unit. The condo itself was great."
